112 Emergency Call Centre Bucharest-Ilfov part of the Romanian Special Telecommunications Service (STS) received the award for Outstanding Emergency Call Centre, during the annual gala of the European Emergency Number Association (EENA)
\nThis is the fifth international award received by the STS after the prizes for \u201cThe best campaign of education and information from the European Union\u201d (2009); \u201cFor outstanding rescue\u201d (2012); again for \u201cThe best campaign of education and information from the European Union\u201d (2013) and in 2014 for \u201cThe best reform in the European Union- National Unitary System for Emergency Calls in Romania.
\nAccording to the most recent report of the European Commission, Romania is amongst the member states with the best reaction times (under 10 seconds) and an increased accuracy in finding callers of the 112 emergency number.
