ROMEXPO – Made in Romania for Romania's development
Fairs and exhibitions are the representation of a national economy, with all the strengths and weaknesses; representation that helps the overall social and economic development. For over 40 years, the Exhibitions Center brings to visitors and exhibitors the most important events tailored to market needs. The days of participation in fairs and exhibitions are perhaps the most effervescent period of activity of the company.
Giving back time, in its first years ROMEXPO organized a few fairs, and those general but important, and perhaps forgotten, is that the ROMEXPO binds the very beginnings of many Romanian companies, companies that subsequently became very large and also due of their participation in these fairs every year.
The present means a whole new dimension of business for ROMEXPO, a calendar of events very dense, in other domestic and international economic context. A short and revealing example is 2013. This year meant for ROMEXPO the joining of the most important fairs and events in areas of interest, in which both specialists and the general public were able to build an overview of the economic areas which have addressed.
Thus, in the first half of 2014 ROMEXPO organized 17 trade fairs, hosted and facilitated the organization of fairs and exhibitions of 8 other partners, two concerts, two performances for the general public and 30 congresses, seminars and conferences, visited of 258,000 people.
Now ROMEXPO international organizer is in a process of globalization. What is this process for ROMEXPO? If before a fair was defined of where was set in terms of place, now it is defined by the organizer and this is a big challenge for the company. In this context ROMEXPO calculates its next steps, especially in the direction of international cooperation and regional development.
Over 10 years ROMEXPO will not be the same, it will always adapt to the changes that arise every day.
How to define briefly ROMEXPO? Business space for everyone, from global companies to family associations. For SMEs, however, fair means a lot. It's really the only time when a SME, in an organized manner, make contact with the largest companies and their customers.
From this perspective ROMEXPO offers the possibility to any SME to present well in front of potential clients, to draw attention to its business.
ROMEXPO is a project not only made in Romania, but creating for Romania, which supports the development of Romania!
ROMEXPO is, especially in this period, an energizer. The great lesson from the crisis of last few years is for ROMEXPO, that such period may be exceeded only by starting from the premise that you have to be 10 times more creative, to demonstrate flexibility and closeness to the customer. There are countless ways to capture the energy of business men, to bring them together and to make them confident in possible positive results in the future and ROMEXPO is working on these goals day by day, event by event.
We emphasize this more than all the other benefits of the fair (new contacts, market information, assess the competition, news, etc.) as this quality makes fairs and exhibitions to be more important in the future in the context of the abundant of information and development, we might say excessive, of online environment.
Catalin Trifu, CEO, ROMEXPO S. A. believes that "face to face meetings are now more important than ever, as an indispensable element of economic development. Fairs and exhibitions offer precisely this advantage, one undeniable and that cannot be neglected. "
Whether we are talking about areas such as agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, hospitality and more, ROMEXPO owns and organizes each specific event for each of them. INDAGRA – International exhibition of equipment and products in the field of agriculture, horticulture, viticulture and animal husbandry Tourism Fair of Romania, TIB – Bucharest International Technical Fair, CONSTRUCT EXPO – International Exhibition of technology, equipment, construction machinery and equipment, Dental – international Exhibition of products and equipment for medical and dental domain, or BIFE-SIM – International Fair of Furniture, Equipment and accessories are just a few examples of what ROMEXPO brings every year in front of visitors and exhibitors.
Quality, professionalism and adaptability!

Handicraft cooperatives Romano ButiQ from Romania -in the top 10 best ideas for social innovation in Europe
Mesteshukar ButiQ (MBQ ), the network of social economy enterprises called " Roman ButiQ " cooperatives aims revaluing traditional Roma crafts.
The Cooperatives Romano ButiQ offers a real development opportunity for those who wish to revalue traditional craft and bringing it in front of the public.
Acting as small social business for Roma craftsmen to be able to produce and sell goods, the cooperatives are based, primarily, on the desire to work and on the market demand for products manufactured from raw materials like wood, wicker, iron, silver brass, copper or aluminum.
The approach also facilitates the preservation of tradition and identity of Roma and the increase of cultural diversity in a society free of prejudice and discrimination.
Here is the study by Romano ButiQ about Roma crafts.

Goodies from Nature: 100% natural, 100% Romanian
“Goodies from Nature” is also a trademark under which we prepare marmalades, jams and syrups with fruits from our own harvest or from the householders in our region. We use no industrial processing, no chemicals and no synthetic sweeteners. Only lemons, mint from our garden, cinnamon, vanilla pods and healthy Romanian fruits!
We started this journey because of our wish to offer the best from nature in simple and healthy products. We produce using selected, washed Romanian fruits, which are peeled one by one and boiled in amounts of maximum 4 kg.
Firstly, we reproduced our grandmothers’ recipes: Moldavian plums jam, white cherries marmalade, Agurida juice and others to which we had the fortune to add an interesting discovery: a cooking book from the 60s, an encyclopedia about the preserving possibilities from then.
We were glad every time our grandmother shared us a recipe and this way we reached a number of 27 assortments in jars. To these, we add over 16 types of syrup, which also mean quite enough meticulosity and attention, and we shouldn’t forget about the green grapes juice (Agurida juice).
Every jar we obtaine is a goody from nature, not a mass product!
“Goodies from Nature” means products based on fruits and vegetables designed to be enjoyed even when their season is over. When the fall with its rich harvest is over, we can be proud with our pantry filled with goodies. All the fruits we process come from communes in Vrancea County: Vartescoiu, Odobesti, Jaristea, Cotesti, Bolotesti, Suraia, Mera – from working people who love the land.
Another reason for doing this is the wish to create social effects in the region. The producers have a place to deliver their merchandise and are no longer tempted to sell their land or to let it fallow. The community members become this way both resources consumers and added value generators”- Ramona Grigoriu, Goodies from Nature
“Goodies from Nature” is a 100% Romanian brand, whose recipe for success consisted in combining the love and respect for nature, country, tradition, community with professionalism and excellent quality.
Successful Entrepreneurship: Japan Stone Spa and the Japanese dream
The story of this salon, my story is a trip to the other half of the globe for over 10 years…I had this dream: to return to the place where I was born and that I always missed, to create something lasting over years. It is also the story of many years of study, work, perseverance, renunciation and sacrifice.
It is the story of an extraordinary culture that I love, who taught me that beauty is above all, a state of health and harmony between body, mind and soul.
At the same time, Japan taught me among others, that to provide services in the field of beauty required much study and hard science. So it is that shortly after I arrived in Japan I followed for one year the courses at one of the most prestigious schools of professional beauty: Miss Paris. I can say without any doubt that the year spent at Miss Paris resembles an army year…
First, it is taught as a science (the science of skin care, science of body treatments, hair removal science, communication between beautician and client science, etc.), it is focused on detailed knowledge of the domain, thus providing information on medicine, chemistry, biology and blending very well with the traditional techniques. The approach is, in essence, very rigorous, any treatment is seen as a procedure as a clear rite, precise, exact.
Second, it is a school of life where I learned to be disciplined, to appreciate and respect your customers, to be with other words a professional. Japanese labor, discipline and precision is known worldwide.
However, I liked it very much, plus I could then realize that I was prepared to perform at the extremely high standards of services for the salons, where I got to work .
I returned to Romania…….. and I'm happy that today I can share with family, friends and my clients everything that I know and love about the Japanese culture by opening Japan Stone Spa, successful business, that brings in Romania a part of Japan"- Antoaneta Manea, administrator Japan Stone Spa
